Laura O’Neal has been a trainer for over 25 years teaching communications, business start-up, non-profit Board/Staff training and many basic and advanced mediation and conflict resolution subjects. Laura has been a certified mediator for 15 years mediating family, business, and victim/offender cases. Laura specializes in highly emotional family cases. She has developed the skill and ability to listen and question, even in the presence of strong negative emotions. Laura has hundreds of hours of mediation experience and assists the parties to get past their fixed positions and strong emotions in order to ascertain their real interests and achieve resolution, not just a settlement.
Laura served as Executive Director and lead trainer for a Non-Profit Mediation Center for seven years. Laura teaches a 40-hour Basic Mediation Class, Advanced Family Mediation, Communication Skills and Conflict Resolution Skills for the Workplace and Guided Listening Classes. Laura is an executive coach working with Managers and Owners in the areas of leadership, accountability and communication. Laura also works with individuals and couples who are stuck and can't see a path forward.
Laura served two terms as the President of Resolution Washington (State association of Dispute Resolution Centers) in 2009 and 2010.
Laura taught the Entrepreneurial Program at Peninsula College from 1999 to 2002 and has over 25 years of experience in training, business and marketing. And currently presents in the Drug and Alcohol Counselor Program and the Conflict Resolution in Environmental Studies Program.

Laura has one daughter, Sarah who is her pride and joy and is madly in love with her two grand-dogs, Percy and Anderson. In her off time, she enjoys all types of comedy and spending time performing her humorous and improvisational One Woman Show where she lends her unique perspective on every day life.
